Kevin Bazinet, born June 14, 1991, is a pop singer from Canada who earned considerable recognition after winning the third season of the reality television series La Voix in 2015. Hailing from Mont-Laurier, Quebec, Bazinet is the son of record producer Pierre Bazinet and the brother of singer-songwriter Bobby Bazini. He made a name for himself in the late 2000s by posting both original songs and covers on his personal video-streaming channel, quickly growing a devoted online following. In 2009, he received a recording contract offer from EMI France, releasing his studio debut Mystery Love later that year. After playing two shows in Paris in 2010, Kevin Bazinet suffered anxiety-related issues that rendered him unable to perform. Despite the setback, Bazinet prioritized his physical and emotional well-being, taking time off before resurfacing in the music industry. His comeback was marked by a heartfelt performance of Sam Smith's acoustic rendition of "Latch" during the auditions for La Voix, which captivated audiences nationwide. His defining moment came in the season finale, where he performed "Jusqu'où tu m'aimes," a song composed by his coach Marc Dupré and Alex Nevsky. Winning the competition with a substantial 46% of the audience vote, Kevin Bazinet's triumph was soon followed by the release of "Jusqu'où tu m'aimes" as his first radio single, peaking at Number 2 on Quebec's French language pop charts. Talk to Me, his second album, hit the shelves in 2015 and featured creative input from Céline Dion on the track "Come to Me." Only three months after its release, Talk to Me went gold in Canada, establishing Kevin Bazinet as one of the most promising talents in the local pop scene. In 2019, he made his voice acting debut on the Quebecois version of the animated film UglyDolls. Over the following years, he delivered a string of well-received singles such as "Derniere danse" (2022), "Carry It Well" (2023), and "Flowers" (2023).
