Lapso Laps

A child of Paris's 19th arrondissement, Lapso Laps is a rapper of Algerian origin. Although he debuted in 1995 and appeared on the 1997 compilation Le 19 Sort de l'Ombre, he subsequently disappeared from the rap scene due to circumstances linked to his private life. Influenced by American rap greats such as N.W.A. and Public Enemy, Lapso Laps' "old-school" gangsta rap is not devoid of charm. Backed by Rohff, Lapso Laps released his Ghostape with the collective Les Fonctionnaires d'la Rue (FDLR Company) in March 2015. Aided by powerful tracks like "Mon frelo mon frell" and "Certifié dealer ", the album reached number twenty-eight on the top albums chart. The following year, he joined the Def Jam label, which hosted his new opus, christened Packman . The album is supported by the single "Vodka Pineaple".
