Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish pop rock singer who began his career by uploading tracks to the Internet and performing at local venues in his hometown of Glasgow, where has born on October 7, 1996. His 2017 debut single, "Bruises," reached Number 6 in the UK, where the song eventually went four-times platinum. His 2019 single "Someone You Loved" was even bigger hit, reaching Number 1 in the US, the UK, Canada, and Ireland. "Someone You Loved" won the Brit Award for "Song of the Year" in 2020. It also appeared on Capaldi's debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which reached Number 1 in the UK and became the country's best-selling album of both 2019 and 2020. "Before You Go," another track from the same album, was also a transatlantic hit, reaching Number 1 in the UK and Number 9 in the US. "Before You Go" also marked the beginning of four consecutive Number 1 singles in the UK, where Capaldi topped the charts in 2022 with both "Forget Me" and "Pointless." "Wish You The Best" followed in 2023, as did the sophomore album Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent.
