Lil Kesh

Nigerian rapper and singer Keshinro Ololade was born in Bariga, Lagos State, on March 17, 1995. After university studies in linguistics and communication, he embarked on a musical career under the name Lil Kesh. In 2014, the track "Lyrically" went viral on Nigerian campuses and opened the doors to the independent label founded by Olamide, Yahoo Boy No Laptop Nation, better known as YBNL. Several singles followed, including "Shoki" in 2014 or "Gbese" and "Efejoku" in 2015, before the 2016 release of the album Y.A.G.I. (Young and Getting It), with numerous collaborations including Young Jonn, Patoranking, YCEE, Wale, Naira Marley, Davido or Adekunle Gold. The name of the album becomes that of his label, Yagi Records, under which Lil Kesh continues to evolve, notably with the EP Ecstasy (2020) and a series of singles including "Kowope " (2020), "Agbani Darengo" (2021) and "Don't Call Me" (2021). After "Feeling Funny" with his producer Young Junn, Lil Kesh teams up with Fireboy DML and Ayo Maff for the hit "Vex for U", charting in the UK Afrobeats charts in 2024.
