Loopy (Lee Jin-yong), born on September 9, 1987, in Seoul, South Korea, is a rapper in the South Korean hip-hop scene. Known for his unique delivery and versatile musical style, Loopy gained international recognition as the runner-up on Show Me the Money 777 in 2018, where his performances showcased his lyrical depth and charismatic stage presence. Loopy began his career in 2016, quickly rising through the ranks of the Korean hip-hop community. He is signed under MKIT Rain and Uncutpoint, labels renowned for nurturing innovative hip-hop artists. His debut studio album, No Fear (2020), solidified his status, reaching No. 22 on the Korean charts and featuring a deluxe re-release. His earlier works include notable EPs such as Ice Tape A (2017), Questions (2018), and LooFla (2019), a collaborative project with Nafla. Loopy's charted singles, such as “Save” featuring Paloalto and “NoNo” featuring Simon Dominic, highlight his ability to merge melodic hooks with hard-hitting rap verses.
