Mickie Krause

The German pop singer Mickie Krause was born under the name Michael Engels on June 21, 1970 in Wettringen. After two apprenticeships, he was a warm-up artist for Hans Meiser, Birte Karalus and Oliver Geissen as well as a singer in the pop band Erika Rehbein and Schlagerkarussell. Mickie Krause made his debut with his single "Anita" in 1998. A year later, he began performing alongside the successful pop singer Jürgen Drews in the Riu Palace discotheque on the Balearic island of Mallorca during the vacation season. In winter, he performs at Mallorca parties in Germany and at après-ski parties. Mickie Krause made his breakthrough in 1999 with the song "Zehn nackte Friseusen", which reached 26th place in the German charts. His debut album Ok...Folgendes - Meine grösste Erfolge Teil 2 was released in 2001 and climbed to 85th place in the German charts. Many of Mickie Krause's songs are based on the melodies of famous oldies and classics. Further albums followed, Krause Alarm - Das beste Partyalbum der Welt (2003), Wie Blei in den Regalen (2006) and Entscheidung auf Mallorca (2010). The musician has won the Ballermann Award several times. in 2014, the album Ein Wort sagt mehr als 1000 Bilder was released, which reached 27th place in the German charts. in 2020, the single "10 Liter Bier (und dann geht das)" was released. The following year, Mickie Krause was awarded the Smago! Award the following year.
