Mijoo, born Lee Seung-ah on September 23, 1994, in Okcheon County, is a South Korean singer, popularly known as a member of the K-pop girl group Lovelyz. Assembled by Woollim Entertainment, the eight-member ensemble immediately made an impact on the Korean music scene with their studio debut, Girls' Invasion, released in November 2014. The following year, the release of the single "Ah-Choo," from their 2015 EP Lovelyz8, catapulted them into the mainstream. Over the years, Mijoo and Lovelyz have delivered numerous successful releases such as the album R U Ready? (2017), Heal (2018), and Unforgettable (2020). Mijoo's enduring popularity has also led to her appearances on the variety shows Running Man, Knowing Bros, and 2 Days & 1 Night, further expanding her reach within the South Korean entertainment industry. After Lovelyz went on indefinite hiatus in 2021, the singer severed ties with Woollim and moved to Antenna, releasing her solo debut Movie Star in 2023. The album enjoyed great popularity in her native South Korea, peaking at Number 33 on the Circle Chart.
