Milad Nejad was just a baby when he and his parents fled Tehran to escape the Iran-Iraq War. They travelled to Hamburg-Bergedorf to find shelter with an uncle, and it was there that he grew up. Nejad had a difficult childhood and in his early teens began drinking, smoking and sneaking into clubs; at the age of 14 he was arrested for the first time after a break-in. He was released, but after later getting caught with cocaine he spent four years behind bars. He developed a love of rap music, however, and credits it with saving him. He began to perform as Milonair and attracted attention when he contributed to the track 'Chabos Wissen Wer Der Babo Ist' by Haftbefehl, released in October 2012. Two years later he began releasing his solo material, launching the 19-track album 'AMG - Ausländer mit Geld' and the single 'Yani'. 'Milominati' followed in 2016 and in 2019 it was announced that he would release his third album 'GTA' through the label Chapter One.
