Born Danielle Hétu on January 6, 1955 in Montreal (Canada), Mimi Hétu is a pop singer from Quebec. She took part in the Catelli young talent contest in 1963. The following year, she recorded Soeur Sourire's song " Dominique ", then gave up music to finish her studies. She made a comeback in 1971, recording the theme song for the Quebec film Mon Oncle Arthur . In 1972 and 1973, she placed four songs at the top of the charts: " Donne-moi un peu d'amour ", " Ne viens plus frapper à ma porte ", " Pardonne-moi " and " Si tu veux revenir ". In 1976, with the disco wave arriving in Quebec, Mimi Hétu launched the song " Hey Boy ", written by Renée Martel. She returned to number one in 1980 with " Une Femme avec lui ", which spent 4 weeks at the top. Her final single, " Plus jamais le même ", was released in 1982. She went on to work in a pet shop, specializing in parrots and birds in general.
