Hwang Min-hyun, born August 9, 1995 in Busan, South Korea (also known as Minhyun), is a K-pop performer who gained fame as a vocalist with the boy band NU'EST, formed in 2012 by Pledis Entertainment. During his time in the group, Minhyun competed on the television show Produce 101, landing a position with boy band Wanna One, performing exclusively with them for just over a year, before the group disbanded in 2018. Returning to NU’EST in 2019, Minhyun recorded solo single “Universe,” which was featured on the group’s sixth EP Happy Ever After. After several successful stints on stage and in television, Minhyun continued to release solo tracks including “I’ll Be With You Every Day,” which was featured on the MBC series The Red Sleeve. In 2023, he made his official debut with mini-album Truth or Lie in February, which climbed to number 2 on the Korean charts.
