Nanpa Básico

Nanpa Básico, born Francisco David Rosero Serna on April 8, 1993, in Medellín, Colombia, has established himself as a leading voice in Latin American independent rap, blending hip-hop with reggae and bolero influences. He began his career in 2003 and first gained recognition as part of Selva de Asfalto, recording a demo in 2005 before launching his solo career with Entre Esquinas. Over the years, he refined his style, delivering introspective, poetic lyrics in hits like "Poeta," "Flaca," and "Sin Ti Estoy Bien." His participation in major hip-hop festivals, including Hip Hop al Parque, expanded his fanbase, leading to the breakthrough success of Euphoria (2018) and its standout track "Cuidao." In 2020, he adapted to the digital landscape with KOSMO Experiencia Digital and further cemented his status with sold-out concerts across Latin America. His 2022 album, HECHO M13RD4, featuring collaborations with Ryan Castro, Gera MX, and Santa Fe Klan, propelled him onto international platforms like Billboard and GQ Latam. This success was followed by 2024's Duelo, a slightly more polished effort with contributions from Beéle, Lia Kali, Kany García, Rusherking, and Pirlo.
