The German rapper Nate57 was born Nathan Renato Pedreira on July 5, 1990 in Henstedt-Ulzburg. The musician's father comes from Angola and his mother from Germany. Both are musically active, which meant that Nate57 began listening to hip-hop as a child and teenager. Together with his brother Blacky White, he founded the record label Rattos Locos Records and released his debut mixtape Willkommen auf St. Pauli in 2008. This was followed a year later by the mixtape Verrückte Ratten, a collaboration with rapper Telly Tellz. The songs "Blaulicht" and "Nur die Starken überleben" were taken from the mixtape and met with a very positive response, particularly from Farid Bang, Sido and Fler. Nate57 then appeared on television and at various concerts. His debut album Stress aufm Kiez was released in June 2010 and climbed to 37th place in the charts in Germany. The mixtape Auf der Jagd was released the following summer and reached number 10 in the charts in Germany and number 43 in Switzerland. His second album Land in Sicht (2013) also entered the charts in Austria at number 62, in Germany at number 11 and in Switzerland at number 19. He followed up this success with the album Gauna (2016), which reached number 10 in Switzerland, number 13 in Germany and number 44 in Austria. 2021 saw the release of the single "Raute#".
