Having been passionate about music from an early age, singer-songwriter Nielson joined the band 'Zirkus Zirkus' in 2010 before rising to fame by finishing runner-up in 'De Beste Singer-Songwriter von Netherlands' in 2012. His self-written single from the show, 'Beauty & de Brains' rose to number seven in the Netherlands Singles Charts and his self-produced debut album 'Zo Van Aaah Yeah' was released in 2014. This reached number two in the Netherlands Album Charts and produced the hit single 'Hoe', a duet with Miss Montreal. In 2013, Nielson appeared on a collaborative single with other Dutch artists called 'Koningslied' which was written to celebrate the investiture of Prince Willem-Alexander as King of The Netherlands. In 2015, he released the albums 'Met De Tijd Mee, Deel 1' and 'Met De Tijd Mee, Deel 2' and several singles including 'Sexy Als Ik Dons' which reached number one in the Belgian Singles Charts. Nielson went on to release a further solo album 'Weet Je Wat Het Is' in 2016. This reached number three in the Netherlands Album Charts and was followed in 2018 by 'Diamant' from which the single 'Ijskoud' was released. 'Diamant' reached number ten and 'Ijskoud' number two in the Netherlands Albums and Singles Charts respectively.
