OWV

Founded in April, 2020, OWV is a Japanese boy group consisting of Honda Kosuke (leader), Nakagawa Katsunari (rapper), Urano Shuta (vocalist) and Sano Fumiya (dance leader). All four members were contestants from the 2019 reality television show Produce 101 Japan, attracting the attention of Japanese talent agency Yoshimoto Kogyo after receiving considerable public acclaim throughout the competition. Originally called Honausa (a combination of the member's initials), the group participate in various pre-debut appearances, (including hosting Instagram radio show, Honausa Radio) before rebranding as OWV, an abbreviation of Our only Way to get Victory: a reminder of their commitment to ongoing success. Their first single “UBA UBA” (2020), peaked at number 5 on the Oricon charts, followed by “Ready Set Go” (2021), coming in at number 3. Having amassed a sizeable fandom, the group starred in their own reality television show, OWV ROAD and on October 13, 2021 the group released their debut studio album Chaser, before embarking on a Japanese tour. In 2022, the album’s fifth single “You” peaked at number 2 on the JPOP charts, with August single “Time Jackerz” attaining similar success. In October, the band released “Let Go” before embarking on their third national tour, Strange.
