The Argentinian-Italian singer Semino Rossi, who lives in Austria, was born Omar Ernesto Semino in the Argentinian city of Rosario on May 29, 1962. His father was a tango singer and his mother a pianist who taught him to play the piano. In 1985, he moved to Austria via Spain and initially performed as a street musician and later as a singer in various hotels in Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. The singer became famous in 2004 with his appearances at the Winterfest der Volksmusik and on Musikantenstadl. His debut album Alles aus Liebe was released in February 2004 and reached 10th place in Austria, 30th place in Germany and 54th place in Switzerland. Further albums followed and in summer 2006 Rossi released the album Ich denk an dich, which reached the top of the charts in Germany and Austria and 2nd place in Switzerland. In the same year, he received the Echo music award. In the spring of the following year, the singer toured Austria and Germany with his own band. After further albums, the album Symphonie des Lebens, produced by Dieter Bohlen, was released in mid-March 2013, which was a number one hit in Austria and reached number 2 in Germany. The singer has received several Amadeus Austrian Music Awards and the Krone der Volksmusik. in 2019, the album So ist das Leben was released, which reached the top of the charts in Switzerland and Austria. Three years later, another number 1 album followed in Austria with Heute hab ich Zeit für dich. Top 10 placements were also achieved in Germany (number 2) and Switzerland (number 3). In 2024, Semino Rossi releases his 14th studio album, Magische Momente. Once again, the singer achieves top 10 rankings in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
