The German rapper Silla, formerly Godsilla, was born Matthias Schulze on May 5, 1984. The Berliner met the producer and label owner King Orgasmus One while still at school, through whom he came into contact with many players on the German rap scene. Silla released his debut album Übertalentiert in 2004, followed a year later by the collabo albumSchmutzige Euros with King Orgasmus One and Silla is also featured on Bushido's gold album Staatsfeind Nr. 1 . Silla's second solo album Massenhysterie, which also features Bass Sultan Hengzt, She-Raw and Automatikk, was released on September 11, 2006. The collabo album Südberlin Maskulin with Fler brings Silla into the charts for the first time in 2008 (position 22), whereupon his fourth solo album Silla Instinkt also lands in the German charts in 2011. The subsequent albums Wiederbelebt (2012) and Die Passion Whisky (2012) also made it into the top 15 of the German album charts. Vom Alk zum Hulk enters at number 5 in 2015. After further studio albums, the track "Bist du wach?" is released in April 2020, which is dedicated to the victims of the attack in Hanau in February 2020. The single, which features Silla as a guest rapper alongside many other collaborators, enters the German singles charts at number 31. The album Unsterblich, released in 2021, reaches number 30.
