Sonamoo

South Korean girl group Sonamoo, (stylized as SONAMOO), was formed by TS Entertainment in Seoul in 2014. Comprising Su Min, High.D, Min Jae, D.ana, Eui Jin, New Sun, and Na Hyun, their official debut took place on December 29, 2014, marked by the release of their EP, Deja Vu, along with its titular single, which quickly climbed to the Number 1 spot on the Korean weekly album charts. Following on from the success of their debut, the group released "Just Go" ahead of their 2015 EP, Cushion. Co-produced by EastWest and ₩uNo, featuring the lead single of the same name, the EP claimed its place in the top 10, landing at number 7. Rebranding to present a new, brighter "girls next door" image in 2016, SONAMOO unveiled their third extended play, I Like U Too Much, on June 29, which achieved the same chart ranking. Their first single album, I Think I Love U, released on January 9, 2017, secured the number 13 spot and earned them the New Korean Wave Music Star Award at the Soribada Best K-Music Awards, with the girls teasing their upcoming Happy Box project (released in two parts), through the announcement of two singles, "Friday Night," followed by "I (Knew It)" in August and November, respectively. After a few years of no activity, the girls returned with “We Are Legendary” in 2019, however after label disputes resulted in the departure of Nahyun and Sumin, the group disbanded following the closure of TS Entertainment in 2021.
