The South Korean pop singer Stella Jang has a chameleon-like quality whereby she adopts a different visual image in terms of hair colouring and style to suit the mood of whatever material she is performing. She was born in Korea in 1991 but educated in Paris and graduated with a degree from AgroParisTech. She speaks six languages and is fluent in Korean, English and French and became known to the South Korean public after famously performing the song 'Passionate Goodbye' in her six languages during an appearance on the popular Korean TV show 'Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook'. She cites the hip-hop artists Big Bang as one of her major influences and most of her songs have rap passages integrated within the lyrics. After making her recording debut with the band Geek on their album 'Backpack', Jang launched her solo career in 2014 with the album 'Dumped Yesterday'. Her musical style is modelled on K-pop artists such as Yoo Hee-yeol and Yoon Jong-sin and her recordings frequently reference Korean pop music from the 1990s.
