Cantopop star Tang Siu Hau was born in Hong Kong on June 24, 1989, though some sources claim a birthdate of May 18, 1989. She first garnered national attention in her home country in 2009 as a competitor on The Voice, where she finished in the top 10. Her debut single, “Supervoice”, cake out the next year and climbed to number 2 on the Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) chart. She began working for TVB and five years later competed in The Voice of China before being eliminated in the ninth episode. Her 2015 single “Elegant” was her first number 1 Chinese Pop hit and served as the leadoff single for her 2016 EP The Strength of Weakness. Three more top 10 singles were released in 2017, all of them appearing on the 2018 EP Inner Voice. A final single from that EP, “Inner Child”, would be the biggest smash of her career to that point, hitting number 1 on multiple Asian pop charts and reaching number 3 in Canada, where she would retain a strong following. Her third EP, No Coincidence spawned four more successful singles including the Canadian number 1 “Ballad”, and “Wonton”, which topped the pop chart in several Asian countries.
