The three members of the harmony-driven country band Temecula Road grew up halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles in Temecula, California. It was there that sisters Emma and Maddie Salute began collaborating with Dawson Anderson, mixing three-part harmonies with modern country-pop instrumentation. Although still teenagers, the musicians began touring heavily in 2016, supporting the release of their debut single, "Closer," with tour dates alongside headliners like Martina McBride, Josh Turner, and Kenny Rogers. The song became a popular single on Radio Disney, which led to a contract with Disney Music Group’s Buena Vista Records shortly thereafter. Temecula Road's first single for the label, "What If I Kissed You," was released in 2017, as were the follow-up singles "Hoping," "Everything Without You," and "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" The group moved to Nashville in 2019 and made its debut at the Grand Ole Opry that same year, while continuing to record singles like "Maybe Not" and "Never Knew I Needed You." Two years later, Temecula Road made its national television debut on an episode of ABC's The Bachelor, where the trio premiered its single "Everything I Love." The TV appearance helped boost the song's popularity on the iTunes singles chart, where "Everything I Love" peaked at Number 26 one day after the show's broadcast.
