Seven-member K-pop troupe TEMPEST formed in 2022 under Yuehua Entertainment and comprises Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, Lew, Hwarang, and Taerae. They stepped out officially in March 2022 with their first EP, It's Me, It's We, announcing their arrival as one of South Korea's newest boybands. Five months later they dropped their second EP Shining Up, crystallising their hip–hop–infused signature pop sound. A third EP, On and On, landed in November 2022, and that same year they scooped the IdolPlus New Star Award at the Circle Chart Music Awards. TEMPEST marked 2023 with the release of their fourth EP, The Calm Before the Storm, in April before cementing their status with their debut single album in September, Into the Tempest (폭풍 속으로), which reached number two on South Korea's Circle Album Chart. The album spawned the single "Vroom Vroom." The group dropped two new EPs in 2024: the number-one selling Voyage and the Top 10-charting Bang! Their second Japanese EP Bubble Gum was released on December 11, 2024, featuring the single "Bubble Gum" that was pre-released on December 6, 2024.
