The Christian rock group Tenth Avenue North was formed in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2000. At the time, founding members Mike Donehey, Jason Jamison and Bryan Homan were all attending college at Palm Beach University. The group released multiple chart-topping hits during the 2010s and even went platinum with "By Your Side," which appeared on the gold-certified debut album Over and Underneath. Before making their major-label debut in 2008, the band released four independent records, all of which enjoyed varying degrees of commercial success. After signing to Reunion records, Tenth Avenue North released 2008's Over and Underneath and quickly became one of the era's biggest Christian acts. The album's lead single, "Love Is Here," became the first of two chart-topping singles from the album, followed by "By Your Side." The hits continued with 2010's The Light Meets The Dark, 2012's The Struggle, and 2014's Cathedrals, all of which reached Number 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart. Songs like "Strong Enough to Save" and "You Are More" reached Number 1, too, and the band returned to the top of the charts with "Control (Somehow You Want Me)," a song from the 2016 release Followers. After releasing 2017's Decade the Halls, Vol. 1, 2019's No Shame, and 2020's Unplugged for the People (The Acoustic Greatest Hits), Tenth Avenue North released the 2024 single "Invited," which hit number 38 on the Top 50 Radio Christian Songs chart.
