Colombian-American singer Mateo Madriñán Martínez, better known as Teo, has been immersed in music from an early age, thanks to his artistic upbringing. The son of pop singer and actress Fanny Lu, his breakthrough came in 2021 with "Chocolatico," a catchy urban track that quickly gained momentum, landing on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart and earning recognition in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Mexico, and Colombia. Known for his genre-blending sound, Teo infuses elements of R&B, electronic, and pop into his urban music, making his style both unique and versatile. In February 2023, he represented Colombia at the prestigious Viña del Mar Festival, marking a key moment in his career. That same year, he was nominated for "Musical Promise" at the HEAT Latin Music Awards, where he showcased his hits "Chocolatico" and "EGO" on stage. With multiple tracks like "Neptuno" and "En Alta" reaching the Top 30 on Latin Pop Airplay, Teo continued his ascent in the pop music scene with the single "BARBIE" featuring Randy Nota Loca, which blended reggaeton and trap. In 2024, his song "Nada Es Para Siempre" peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart, followed by "Causa y Efecto" with AEME later that year.
