Tina Campbell

R&B and gospel singer Trecina Evette Atkins, better known as Tina Campbell, was born in Inglewood, California, on May 1, 1974. Younger sister of Erica Campbell, they began their musical career together in 1998, as part of the group Mary Mary, which enjoyed significant success in the 2000s, with five albums reaching #1 on the gospel charts and a sixth at #2 in 2011. As early as 2008, Tina Campbell was asked to sing the solo track "Don't Waste Your Time", destined for the soundtrack of the film A Good Man Is Hard to Find. Her career began in earnest in 2014 with the album It's Personal, featuring four hits including two duets performed with Stevie Wonder ("Love Love Love") and Tevin Campbell ("Speak the Word"). Rated #1 in the gospel charts, it also unveiled the acclaimed singles "Destiny" and "I'll Wait", before giving rise to a follow-up in 2017 with It's Still Personal, ranked #7 and featuring the Grammy-nominated hit "Too Hard Not To". In addition to her various activities in the evangelical field and writing, Teddy Campbell's wife returned to music in 2024 with the track "Pray for Me" and the album Testify.
