Tom Meighan

Known best as fronting British indie-rock giants Kasabian from 1997 to 2020, Tom Meighan announced his solo career the year he left the group. Born in Leicester, England on 11 January 1981, Thomas Peter Meighan met Sergio Pizzorno and Chris Edwards in high school and they formed the group Saracuse, which then morphed into hit-makers Kasabian who ruled the indie-rock roost with five number-one albums to their name and countless hit singles. After pleading guilty to assaulting his ex-fiancée on 9 April 2020, Tom Meighan announced he was leaving Kasabian, citing personal issues. He later married Vikki Ager on 13 July 2021, one year after pleading guilty to attacking her. He released his first solo single in 2021, "Would You Mind," with "Movin' On" / "Out of This World" and "Let It Ride" / "Icarus" following in 2022. The Put Your Foot Down EP that same year came with dance remixes from producers Chevy One, Bronx Cheer and Stand Tall, with his debut album The Reckoning released in May 2023 via Destruct Records. The LP was recorded in Cornwall with Gareth Young and cracked the UK top 20.
