Tour 2 Garde

An Ivorian hip-hop group from Abidjan, Tour 2 Garde was formed in the early 2000s around Koné Diarra Adama (Jimmy James) and Arthur Koya (Thura). In 2004, the duo produced their first album, Dieu Seul Sait, featuring tracks such as "Dieu seul sait", "Cœur blessé ", "Paix " and "Ya fohi", which quickly raised Tour 2 Garde's profile. The band followed this up in 2006 with Terre Promise, which preceded a long recording silence interrupted seven years later with Hier, Aujourd'hui et Demain. In 2015, Tour 2 Garde was nominated in the "Best Francophone Artist" category at the MTV Africa Music Awards. Two years later, Tour 2 Garde teamed up with Ivorian rapper Abou Debeing, from Sexion d'Assaut's Wati B label, to deliver the track "Wari". In 2019, the group released the album Victory, from which the track "Laisse-moi t'aimer" is taken.
