French chanson trio Trois Cafés Gourmands was originally conceived in 2013 by singers Mylène Madrias, Sébastien Gourseyrol and Jérémy Pauly. The group released their debut album, Désillusions À L'aube, in 2014. Another album followed in 2015, the self-produced Deuxième Torréfaction, and a self-titled EP came in 2017. The previous year, the singing trio had invited two musicians along for the ride – double bassist and bassist Nicolas Ferreira and drummer Sébastien Bugeaud – but they were controversially asked to leave Trois Cafés Gourmands in October 2018, following the success of breakthrough hit single “À nos souvenirs”. Released in October 2018, the band's third album Un air de rien was first certified gold, then platinum, before eventually going triple platinum. Trois Cafés Gourmands won the award for Francophone Revelation of the Year at France’s inaugural Olympia Awards in 2019. October 2020 marked the release of the group's new album, Comme des enfants, which featured an eponymous single and “On t'emmène”.
