Vacra

French rap and R&B singer-songwriter Vacra was born in Seine-et-Marne in 1995. In 2020, he appeared on social networks with a first song entitled "Plan séquence", quickly achieving notable success with over four million listens online. The song is officially released as a single in 2021. In 2022, Vacra followed this up with "Tiki Taka", which met with success and was certified a diamond disc in France. Although he had been concealing his identity until then, the androgynous singer came out in the open in February 2023 at a showcase. However, he continues to be careful to preserve his private life and to refrain from expressing himself in the press. In May 2023, Vacra releases an EP entitled Galatée, with contributions from artists such as Ronisia, Nemir, Roshi and Young John. It includes previous singles. He also releases "Moto", "Xoxo" and "Yoga", recorded with Josman. May 2024 saw the release of his debut album Pygmalion, featuring artists such as PLK, Josman, Soolking and Louane. The opus is accompanied by the single "Confidences", recorded alongside PLK, which reached No. 40 in Belgium. His distinctive style, somewhere between rap and R&B, borrows from diverse sources of inspiration such as cloud rap, mumble and Afropiano. After a duet with Louane on "Les Montgolfières", the sensual-sounding artist set to work on the album En Attendant Paphos (2025), featuring the duets "Tise & Ken" with Dinos and "Totopika" with ElGrandeToto.
