Victony

Anthony Ebuka Victor (born 5 January 2001), known by his stage name Victony, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter, and composer from Imo State. He began his musical career as a rapper in 2017, trading verses with Ladipoe on his revival series Sunday and establishing his voice with a hit mixtape, The Outlaw King. A series of hip-hop singles followed, including 2018's "Ina the Benz", before he decided to shift his repertoire to cover Afrobeats, R&B, trap, and other genres. His EP Saturn arrived in 2020, but a fatal car accident—which claimed the life of one of his friends, Doyin—required him to undergo surgery and use a wheelchair the following year. He has since continued his career, releasing the breakthrough single “Holy Father” with Mayorkun in October 2021, and also collaborating with Grammy-winning producer and zanku pioneer Rexxie on the Nataraja EP. A new EP, Outlaw, was released in 2022 with the single “Apollo”. However, it was with another single, “Soweto”, that he had his biggest hit, reaching No. 1 on the UK Afrobeats charts. The Tempoe-produced track was remixed with Omah Lay, and then a second with Rema and Don Toliver. That same year, he also guested on Burna Boy’s single “Different Size”. Building on this notoriety, Victony continued with a series of tracks that included collaborations with Bella Shmurda and Babyboy AV. In 2024, the album Stubborn was released, with guests named Saint Jhn, Shallipopi, Teezo Touchdown, Ktizo, as well as Asake on the eponymous hit.
