Yuki Koramochi (February 17, 1972), simply known as Yuki, is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Hakodate, Hokkaido. She rose to fame in the early 1990s as one half of the J-rock band Judy and Mary, and has since participated in a wide array of musical projects, including NiNa with the B-52's Kate Pierson and Japan's Mick Karn, and the all-girl rock band Mean Machine. In 2002, Yuki made her debut as a solo artist with the album Prismic, which reached Number 3 on the Oricon Albums Chart. In the following years, she continued to develop a highly idiosyncratic brand of J-pop on chart-topping albums such as Joy (2005), Wave (2006), Ureshikutte Dakiau yo (2010), Megaphonic (2012), and Mabataki (2017). A testament to her longevity, her eleventh long-player Free & Fancy appeared in 2022 and entered the Top 10 of the Japanese Billboard 200.
