Art Garfunkel Jr. (born December 15, 1990 in Manhattan, New York City) is a singer from the USA. Born James Arthur Garfunkel, he is the son of Art Garfunkel, who enjoyed great success together with Paul Simon as Simon & Garfunkel. Art Garfunkel Jr. therefore developed a close relationship with music at an early age. Through his maternal grandmother, who was of German descent, he fell in love with German pop music. As a child, Art Garfunkel Jr. was a fan of Heintje. In the mid-2000s, the artist moves to Berlin. In 2021, Art Garfunkel Jr. releases his debut album Wie Du - Hommage an meinen Vater. The album immediately reaches number 10 in the German charts. On the album, Art Garfunkel Jr. sings well-known songs by Simon & Garfunkel in German. He is accompanied by well-known pop stars such as Marianne Rosenberg, Lucas Cordalis, Bernhard Brink, Olaf der Flipper, Stefan Mross and Frank Schöbel. The successor Evergreen will be released in fall 2023. The longplayer climbs to number 14 in Germany.
