Harpsichordist and conductor Bruno Procopio (b. 1976) is Brazil's newest hope in the world of Baroque music. After studying in Rio de Janeiro, this specialist in Rameau and the Bach family moved to Paris, where he studied at the CNSM and founded the Paraty label in 2007. His first recordings, devoted to J. S. Bach's Partitas for harpsichord and Couperin's Suites for viola da gamba and harpsichord , won him praise from specialist magazines. In 2012, the Rameau in Caracas project with Venezuela's Simon Bolivar Orchestra superbly anticipated the Rameau year of 2014.
