Bu$hi

Originally from Lyon, where he was born on February 4, 2000, Bu$hi grew up on the island of Réunion in Saint-Gilles les Bains. However, he returned to the Rhône-Alpes region in 2017, joining the group Saturn Citizen alongside his friend Mussy, another up-and-comer on the Lyon scene, and then the Lyonzon collective initiated by beatmaker and rapper Gouap. Alongside Ashe 22, Jolly and Kpri, he quickly became one of its pillars. In 2020, Bu$hi released his first mixtape under the name Bu$hi, followed shortly afterwards by a reissue called Bu$hi 1.5. More discreet in 2021, he returned in 2022 with the mixtape Bu$hi 2, on which he collaborated with Migos collaborator DJ Durel, as well as 808 Melo, a beatmaker well known to Pop Smoke fans, for whom he composed tracks such as "Dior" and "War", and Wondagurl, collaborator of Rihanna, Travis Scott and even Drake. At the end of 2022, he released the Interlude project (n°132), featuring no fewer than 18 tracks, including collaborations with Afro S, HIM$, La Fève and Tiakola among others. He went on to make a name for himself by collaborating with Quavo, a member of the Migos group, which gave him international exposure. It was with this collaboration that the French rapper recorded the single "What We Doing !? / Qu'est-ce qu'on fait !?". The track served as the banner for the Bu$hi Tape 3 mixtape in 2024, which, in addition to Quavo, featured duets with Dinos, Redda and SDM.
