Real name Julien Mari, born in Marseille on January 14, 1990, rapper Jul dropped out of school to study for a BEP in sales, and worked as a laborer with his father before starting to rap under the name Juliano 135. Known thanks to his videos on social networks, he produced the album Dans Ma Paranoïa (No. 7 in 2014). Quickly becoming a French rap phenomenon, a few months later he released the mixtape Lacrizeomik, which reached No. 4 in album sales on its release. In 2021, Jul released his fifteenth studio album Demain Ça Ira (no. 1), which included a reference to the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. At the end of the year, he releases Indépendance, which reaches No. 6. After the Le Classico Organisé collective project and the album of the same name, released in 2021, the No. 1 rapper in sales and listening figures set to work on the album Extraterrestre (2022), released the day before a concert at Marseille's Stade Vélodrome and installed at the top of the French charts.
