LX

German rapper LX was born Alexander Gabriel on September 3, 1986 in the northern city of Hamburg. His stage name is an abbreviation of his nickname Alex. LX is part of the rap group 187 Strassenbande, where he makes his debut with Der Sampler 3. in 2013, he recorded the album Obststand together with Maxwell, which climbed to number 5 in the German charts. LX is then arrested and has to serve a 22-month prison sentence. in 2015, the rapper was named best newcomer nationally at the Hiphop.de Awards. In 2016, he receives a nomination for the Echo. In summer 2019, the second joint album with Maxwell is released with the title Obststand 2 and the tracks "Bunkerplatz" and "Schicker Schlitten". The longplayer becomes a number 1 hit in Germany and Austria and reaches number 2 in the charts in Switzerland. The rapper's first solo album, Inhale/Exhale, is released in early 2021 and is also a huge success. Various guest musicians are involved in the album, including Bonez MC on "Bout that time", Estikay on "Hennesey", Gzuz on "Kollektiv" and Maxwell on the track "Staub". LX received a platinum record in Poland in 2021 for the single "Mordo Wez". The rapper's second studio album, Wazabi, followed in 2022. The album made it into the top 10 in the charts in German-speaking countries. LX opened 2023 with the longplayer Clouds. The album climbed to number 3 in Germany and reached number 6 in Switzerland. In the same year, the album Obststand 3 was released together with Maxwell. It made it back into the top 10 at number 5. In January 2025, LX returned with his fourth studio album. Dopeboy Dreams climbs to number 2 in Germany.
