Max Mutzke

The German singer, songwriter and musician Maximilian Nepomuk "Max" Mutzke was born on May 21, 1981 in Waldshut-Tiengen. He sings in both German and English and his spectrum ranges from pop and rock to soul, funk and jazz. He began his singing career in the funk band Project Five. His breakthrough came in 2004 when he won the TV format Stefan sucht den Super-Grand-Prix-Star. With the song "Can't Wait Until Tonight", written and produced by Stefan Raab, he made a direct entry into the German charts at number one. Also in 2004, he represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, where he came eighth. His debut album Max Mutzke is released in 2005 and enters the German album charts at number 1. max Mutzke released his second album ... aus dem Bauch in 2007, followed by the English-language album Black Forest in 2008. Durch Einander (2012) goes platinum in Germany and reaches number 28 in the domestic charts. His next albums Max (2015), Colors (2018) and Wunschlos Süchtig (2021) also reached the top 40 in Germany.
