Nestelia Forest was born on March 8, 1988 in Bouansa, Congo Brazzaville. Immersed in a musical bath during her youth, between folk music, rumba, ndombolo, gospel and hip-hop, Nestelia Forest began writing as a teenager. After writing her first compositions, she joined the BBX Nation Pop group at the age of 16 and made her debut in the music world. After arriving in Pointe Noire, she joined the group Sang Noir and made a name for herself on the local scene. It was in 2013 that Forest went solo, with her first track "Cocorico" featuring Mister Koné, where her R'n'B rubs shoulders with electronic productions. After an appearance on the big screen for Ludovic Baker's film Pour 30 Millions, she unveiled her debut album, Cocorico, in 2015, which helped increase her notoriety. After two new tracks in 2017, "Nalingui Yo" and "Gentleman", the following year she was part of the concert on the Couleurs Tropicales program hosted on RFI by Claudy Siar. Nestelia Forest, who claims influences from the likes of Beyoncé and Angélique Kidjo, went from strength to strength ("African Dream Boy"), before unveiling her debut album Près Du But in 2018. With a major project that situates her in the country's music industry, she gains recognition and gives new impetus to her career. In addition to new songs ("Ntimani" (2022) or "Mukietu" (2023)), the Congolese singer was crowned Best Female Artist at the Brazza Best Awards 2022.
