Swedish singer-songwriter Niklas Strömstedt began his musical career as a keyboard player for Ulf Lundau, appearing on several albums and on tour with him. He released two solo albums, 'Skjut Inte... Det Är Bara Jag!' (1981) and 'Andra Äventyr', which were not successful, and continued working as a backing musician until 1987, when he joined forces with Lasse Lindbom and Janne Bark to form the group Triad. They released Christmas single 'Tänd Ett Ljus' at the end of that year. Strömstedt decided to release a further solo album, 'En Gång I Livet', in 1989 this time with more success. His singles 'Sista Morgonen' (1989) and 'Förlorad Igen' (1989) from the album were also popular, but his most successful single was 'Om' in 1990, taken from his album of the same name, also released in 1990. The single reached number one in the Swedish Singles Chart. In 1992, his album 'Halvvägs Till Framtiden', was also popular, and contained the singles 'Oslagbara' and 'Bilderna Av Dej', both released in the same year. In 1992, Strömstedt wrote the song 'I Morgan är en Annan Dag' for Christer Björkman with which he went on to win the Swedish TV show 'Melodifestivalen'. Strömstedt himself entered the competition as a wild card in 2008, but finished in last place. In 1994, Strömstedt formed the group GES with Orup and Andes Glenmark, but after having success from writing and performing the official song for Sweden in the 1994 Football World Cup, the group split. Strömstedt went on to release further solo albums 'Långt Liv I Lycka' (1997), greatest hits album 'Oslagbara 1989-1999' (1999), 'Du Blir du Jag Blir Jag' (2001) and 'Två Vägar' (2008). In 2019, he released the singles 'Jag Kan Gilla' and 'Det Lyckliga Slutet'.
