Nimo

Nimo (born December 25, 1995 in Karlsruhe), whose real name is Nima Yaghobi, is a German singer and rapper with Iranian roots. As a young man, Nimo had to serve a juvenile prison sentence for a number of criminal offenses. During his time in prison, he discovered his love for rap music. His debut mixtape Habeebeee was released in 2016. In his music, Nimo deals with street life and his difficult youth due to crime and drugs. His official debut album K¡K¡ (pronounced: Kiki) followed in 2017 via Urban Records and immediately reached the top 10 of the German charts. The single "Heute Mit Mir" also made it into the top 10. In 2019, Nimo released the joint album Capimo together with rapper Capo. The album also reached the top 10. As a solo artist, Nimo released the singles " Karma" and "Kein Schlaf" with rapper Hava in the same year. This song is the first time Nimo reaches number 1 in the German singles charts as a solo artist. He previously achieved this feat as a guest singer together with fellow rappers Capital Bra, Kalazh44, Samra and Luciano on the single "Royal Rumble". In December 2019, Nimo released his album Nimoriginal. With this, the artist once again reached a top position in the charts at number 4. Another mixtape, Steinbock, followed in 2020. With the single "Kommunikation", he achieved another top 10 hit in Germany together with Eno. After the EP Emerald (2021) and the hit singles "Bad Eyez" (together with Luciano) and "B.I.B.O." (together with Dardan), Nimo's third studio album Moonboy followed in 2022. The rapper subsequently released the EPs Blackrock (2022), Eins (2023) and Zwei (2024). The singles "Bevor du gehst" and "Hayat" follow in February 2024. The two songs herald the new album Jung & machen Geld. The album is released in July 2024.
