Daniel Echavarría Oviedo, better known as Ovy on the Drums, is a music producer and composer from Medellín, Colombia. His journey into music began in Medellín's Comuna 13, a place rich in urban genre influences that shaped his career aspirations. His career began in 2013 as a DJ, and over the following years began experimenting with music production. In 2017, he began collaborating with fellow Colombian artist Karol G, producing hits like "Provenza," "Mamiii," and "Tusa," the latter of which marked a big milestone in his career. Ovy on the Drums has also released work as a solo artist, releasing singles such as "El Amor Si Va" (2019), "No Puedo Fingir" (2019), and "Inolvidable" (2020). In 2020, he released "Miedito o Qué?" with Karol G and Danny Ocean, followed by "Angelito" and "Te Extraño" in 2021. This slew of collaborations continued throughout 2023 as he released "El Hechizo" with Peso Pluma and participated in Alan Gómez's "Ryan Castro, Ovy On The Drums | Mission 16." Karol G's 2023 album Mañana Será Bonito, which Ovy On The Drums produced, won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. In 2024, he released the track "Godiva," a collaboration with Ryan Castro, Myke Towers, and Blessd.
