Sakura Fujiwara

Born on December 30, 1995, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, Sakura Fujiwara is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actress. Growing up, Fujiwara was immersed in music from an early age, influenced by her father, who was a former bass player in a rock band. At the age of 10, she received a classical guitar, sparking her passion for writing and performing and over the years, her musical influences expanded as she delved into various genres like rock, folk, soul, and world music, demonstrating a particular admiration for The Beatles. Fujiwara made her debut in 2015 with the mini-album à la carte, featuring the song "Just One Girl" used in the drama Gakkō no Kaidan. Her first studio album, good morning, was released in 2016, climbing to number 44 on the charts, and Fujiwara made her acting debut in the romantic television drama Love Song alongside Masaharu Fukuyama in the same year. Her second studio album PLAY appeared in May 2017, featuring popular singles “Soup,” and "Someday," propelling the singer to number 5 on the charts. Throughout the years, Sakura continued to release singles and albums, collaborating with artists like Leo Ieiri and Sakurako Ohara. Notably, her song "The Moon" served as the theme for the animation movie Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion II Handou. Her EPs green and red appeared in 2018, reaching number 13 and 20, respectively, spawning singles such as "NEW DAY" and “Mata Ashita” which featured in anime television series and film Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei!. Fujiwara’s success continued with the release of her third studio album, Supermarket, in 2020 followed by the EP Mabataki in 2022, and her fourth studio album, Airport, in 2023. On April 3, 2024, Sakura unveiled her fifth studio album, wood mood, which includes the song "Daybreak" from television drama Zeicho: Haraenai ni wa Wake ga Aru.
