VANNER is a five-member South Korean K-pop boy group formed in 2019 under KLAP Entertainment. Their name is a portmanteau of the English words "Victory" and "Banner," both of which symbolize their aspirations for success. Its lineup consists of main vocalist Taehwan, rapper and dancer Gon, vocalist and dancer Hyeseong, rapper Sunggook, and vocalist Yeonggwang. Before their debut in Korea, VANNER honed their skills in Japan throughout 2018, conducting concerts in Tokyo and Osaka. They performed over 200 times and successfully launched a crowdfunding support project. The group officially kicked off its career in South Korea in 2019 with their studio debut V (2019), which peaked at number 67 on the Circle Chart. VANNER made a notable return in September of that same year, with the single album 5cean : V, cracking the local Top 40. This was followed by their second single album, Life, in 2020. In 2021, VANNER announced their inaugural US fan-meeting event, Form & Fan, spanning from November 12 to 21 in five different cities. This was followed by their first-ever US tour. After winning JTBC's Peak Time show in 2023, VANNER made headlines with their first EP, Veni Vidi Vici, reaching number 3 on the South Korean charts. That October, the group released its first Japanese digital single, featuring "Ponytail" and a Japanese version of "Performer." Their second mini album, Capture the Flag, came out in 2024 and resonated globally, landing in the Top 10 in countries like Brazil, Malaysia, Russia, and Italy. In 2024, Vanner released their 3rd EP Burn.
