Originally from Sevran in Seine-Saint-Denis, where he was born on August 6, 1994, French rapper Youness Benabdelouahed made a name for himself in 2018, thanks to his track "Baléares". This track helped him accumulate views on social networks. A year later, with the support of beatmaker Bersa and former rapper-turned-producer Seven, he released his first album, Dracarys, a reference to the Game of Thrones series, which the rapper is so passionate about that he invited the French voice of the Daenerys character, Marie Tirmont, to take part in the intro to his album. The album, which also features collaborations with Kalash Criminel and Imen Es, reached no. 60 in the French charts. Early on, Benab was compared to the rapper Soolking, but he is also often associated with artists such as Franglish, Lomepal, Nekfeu and Maes, with whom he first collaborated in 2019 on the track "Rude", before repeating the experience a year later with the track "Sourire". He returned in 2021 with Au Clair de la Rue (Part. 1), on which he collaborated with artists such as Timal, Imen Es, Mister V, Naps, Marwa Loud and Maes on the track "Andale". The album reached No. 5 in France, and spawned a follow-up the same year, logically entitled Au Clair de la Rue (Part. 2), which reached No. 83 in Belgium. It featured a host of guest stars, including Timal, Kofs, Mamini, Zed and Maes, who made a name for himself on the single "Faya", which reached no. 56 in the French charts. After the singles "Téci", "Pistache", "Automatique" and "Jolie demoiselle " in 2022, Benab released his third album Drapeau Blanc in 2023 (No. 3 in France), featuring collaborations with Timal (on the single "RS5"), Naza and Lynda. He waited just over a year before unveiling the fourth chapter of his discography, Drapeau Noir, an opus containing no fewer than 28 tracks, including duets with Timal, Lynda, Naza, Mig, Fresh La Douille, Anas, Danyl and Zokush.
