Himra

Real name Bakayoko Abdul Rahim, Ivorian rapper Himra was born in Abidjan on May 28, 1998. After discovering French rap with La Fouine, he was soon influenced by American hip hop culture, and from the age of 9, he was competing with his friends in improvised freestyles in the playground. He later made a name for himself with the group SBS before releasing his 14-track debut project, Omega, in 2018. It features duets with Aura Corp ("Si tu es garçon"), Sabe Joroko ("C'est le wei") and Doliziana Debordo ("S'envolement"). The man who confesses to being inspired by the imagery of American rappers such as Travis Scott, Young Thug or ASAP Rocky, then teams up with J-Haine for the Brutal project in 2019. With Ivoire Drill King in 2021, the rapper inaugurates his new contract with Def Jam Recordings Africa and invites several artists to share songs with him, including Mist Cash, Gazo, Tripa Gninnin, YoungPro and Le Juiice. In 2022, he collaborated with Hache-P on the track "Pti déj" , followed by the single "Sans pression" and "Y'a pas drap" in 2023, with Albinny, Famous Freaky, Ozaki and Blitza.
