Mimie

Born on January 11, 1991 in the Cameroonian city of Douala, Mélanie Ngoga began her career in film after studying communications, with a role in the 2008 series Paradis . She appeared in video clips by Ndedi Eyango and Jemmy Sev, and got into music when she covered Stanley Enow's rap track "Hein père". Her musical career evolved in a more concrete way from 2014 with a first composition, "Warriors", before conquering a wider section of the Cameroonian public two years later with her song "Dance fi you" (2016), produced by Salatiel. Between Afro-pop and R'n'B, her music became clearer and Mimie increased the pace of her productions: "Dona" (2017), "Je m'en fou" (2018) and "Django " (2018) were released. After being welcomed by Pit Baccardi into the Empire Company structure in 2017, she grew there, releasing numerous singles and featurings with Shan'I, Magasco and Dj Zoumanto, among others. Mimie made a comeback via the cinema with her roles in Shenanigans (2019) and Monsieur madame (2021), then won the 2021 Female Afro Urbain Artist award at the Canal d'Or before leaving her label in 2022 to gain independence: in 2023 she launched the A.J Academy and gained a new status as a business leader. That same year, she released her first solo album, Soundstation, before returning in 2024 with the singles "Runaway", "Dirty Whine " and "Wohkoh ". In 2025 she collaborated with Creol on the track "BOUGE DE LA".
